Join curator Isabelle Uyaralaaq Avingaq Choquette for a guided tour through the exhibition The MCCA Collection, Revisited.
Developed during her residency at the Museum of Contemporary Circumpolar Art (MCCA), the exhibition presents her curatorial engagement with the museum’s collection. Drawing on her expertise from the Avataq Cultural Institute, Avingaq Choquette offers insights into Inuit material and artistic traditions, as well as the relationships between the artworks, their histories and the communities they are connected to.
The guided tour provides a unique opportunity to experience the exhibition through her perspective, highlighting processes of recontextualization, knowledge-sharing, and Indigenous-led approaches to curatorial practice.
